This course is a compulsory course for international students. It is an introductory course about China, which covers important and interesting topics for international students, such as Chinese history, philosophy, literature, traditional festivals, arts, etc.
本课程的教学目标旨在通过学习，使留学生能够大致了解中国的基本情况，理解中华文明文化在世界文明文化中的独特魅力。争取通过该课程让学生爱上中国和中国文化，从而培养和提高学生对于文化差异的宽容性和处理文化差异的灵活性，更快更好地融入在华校园生活，提高跨文化交际能力。
The instructional objectives of this course: let the students get knowlege about basic information of China from different aspects. Through the learning ,we hope international students will love China and Chinese cultural, so as to cultivate their tolerance for cultural differences and the flexibility of dealing with cultural differences.
